1. Who We Are and Privacy Accountability
Zblit Inc. (“Zblit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a technology marketplace that helps users request everyday tasks and connect with nearby independent contractors who choose to accept those tasks.
This policy applies to personal information handled through Zblit’s website, mobile applications, support channels and related services.
Zblit has designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for our privacy practices and for responding to privacy questions, access or correction requests, deletion requests and complaints. You can reach the Privacy Officer using the privacy contact option in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account & Profile Information
Information such as your name, email address, phone number, profile details, account type and authentication information.
Task & Service Information
Task category, description, requested date or time, service location, task status, notes, task photos, proof-of-completion photos and related records.
Location Information
Task or service locations and, when enabled, device location. Contractor location may be collected while the contractor is online or completing an active task, including in the background where permission has been granted.
Payments & Transactions
Amounts, payment status, transaction identifiers, refunds, disputes and related billing records. Card payment information is processed by Stripe; Zblit does not need to store your full card number.
Contractor Activity
Availability, accepted tasks, task history, earnings, ratings, payout status and other information needed to operate the contractor side of the marketplace.
Communications
Task chat messages, support requests, notes, reviews, ratings and other communications you send through Zblit.
Device & Technical Data
Device or app information, push-notification tokens, notification preferences, diagnostic or security information, and similar technical data used to operate and protect the services.
Website Information
Basic technical information generated when the website is accessed, such as browser, device, network or security-related information that may be processed by our hosting or infrastructure providers.
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- Create, authenticate and manage Zblit accounts.
- Post, match, accept, manage, complete, cancel and review tasks.
- Show independent contractors task information needed to decide whether to accept a task and perform the requested service.
- Provide users with task status updates and, during relevant stages, an approximate view of the assigned contractor’s location.
- Process payment authorizations, captures, refunds, releases, disputes and contractor payouts.
- Send transactional, task, chat, support and—where enabled—promotional notifications.
- Provide customer support, investigate complaints and resolve disputes.
- Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, misuse, security incidents and violations of our terms or policies.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, improve and secure Zblit’s services.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and record-keeping requirements.
4. Location Information
Location is an important part of Zblit’s marketplace. Users may provide a service location when requesting a task. Contractors may choose to go online so that nearby task opportunities can be identified.
The Zblit Contractor App collects precise location data to enable nearby task opportunities and active-task tracking even when the app is closed or not in use, while the contractor is Online or has an active task and has granted the required device permissions. Zblit uses this information for nearby-task functionality, active-task operations, arrival and safety-related service features.
During an active service flow, Zblit may show the user an approximate representation of the contractor’s location rather than exposing the contractor’s exact coordinates.
Contractors can control device location permissions through their operating-system settings. Certain Zblit features may not function if required location permissions or location services are disabled.
5. Payments and Stripe
Payments are initiated and managed through the Zblit App, while payment processing is provided by Stripe. Stripe may collect and process payment-method and transaction information under its own privacy practices.
Zblit receives information needed to manage the transaction, such as payment identifiers, authorized and captured amounts, payment status, refunds and related records. Zblit does not store your full payment-card number or card security code on its own systems; those payment credentials are handled by Stripe through the payment flow.
6. When We Share Information
We do not sell personal information to advertisers. We may share or make information available in the following circumstances:
- Between users and independent contractors: information reasonably needed to arrange and perform a task, communicate, identify the assigned party and manage the service.
- Service providers: companies that provide infrastructure, hosting, authentication, messaging, cloud storage, mapping/location, payment processing, security or other services on our behalf, including Google/Firebase and Stripe where applicable.
- Legal and safety reasons: where required by law, legal process, regulatory obligation, or where reasonably necessary to protect Zblit, our users, contractors or others.
- Business transactions: in connection with a proposed or completed financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale or transfer of all or part of Zblit, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- With your direction or consent: where you ask us or authorize us to share information.
7. Service Providers and Processing Outside Canada
Zblit uses technology and service providers that may process or store information in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions. When information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.
We remain responsible for personal information under our control and use contractual, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the services involved.
8. How We Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, loss, alteration or disclosure. These measures may include authentication, access controls, security rules, secure network transmission, restricted administrative access and monitoring for misuse.
No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
9. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to operate the marketplace, maintain business records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and satisfy legal, accounting, tax or regulatory requirements.
When information is no longer required, we may delete, de-identify or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to lawful retention requirements.
10. Privacy Breaches
Zblit maintains procedures for responding to suspected or confirmed breaches of security safeguards involving personal information. Where required by applicable privacy law, we will notify affected individuals and report a breach to the appropriate privacy regulator when the breach creates a real risk of significant harm. We also maintain breach records where required by law.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law and the nature of your request, you may ask to access personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, withdraw consent where applicable, or request deletion of your account and associated personal information.
Some information may need to be retained after account deletion where reasonably required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, payment records, disputes, safety or other legitimate purposes permitted by law.
You can also manage certain choices directly through Zblit, including notification preferences and device permissions.
